The problem is when Clark says 'fire', he means fire and as such, currently has his eyes closed as hard as he can. Breaking a bed is one thing. Burning her house down is simply not an option.

And his concentration is so much on that, and on pleasuring her, that he's just not noticing any major loss of control on her part. She's the responsible one, after all.
