[AU] SV Futureverse

Metropolis Children's Hospital

Days like today are what keep Eirene coming back to this small hospital in the middle of Kansas. Watching a thirteen year old with once-inoperable pancreatic cancer walk down the hallway to her parents, who are standing with the resident cancer specialist and trying to figure out what happened.

Eirene knows and she glances down at her hands with a faint smile.Miracles. One 'twenty year old' volunteer can do more in the weekend mornings she volunteers than the vicious decease still trying to kill a host of other kids on this floor. If she's lucky, she can save another life today, but her energy reserves haven't been replenished by rest in the last few days.

She's settled into a booth at the corner diner not half an hour later, sipping an herbal tea and flipping through the Planet for anything out of the ordinary. For the curious: she looks like any other college student; a Met U sweater, jeans and Birkenstocks.

It wasn't intended to be surprise, just seemed like a good idea at time. Eirene is happy to repeat the bite, however, by gently making her way from Clark's shoulder to his neck in slow, steady nips.

Although, the bed nose will probably produce a giggle somewhere along the way.

"Is there anything else you'd like me to do?" she finally whispers aganist his ear.

Sorry, Eirene, but the only answer you're going to get to that is something completely unintelligible, ending in yet another groan while his hips keep up the new pace.

After a few minutes, he finally lifts his head from her shoulder and kisses his way back to her mouth.

That's answer enough. Eirene's been desperately trying to hold onto her sanity long enough to find out of he wanted her to do something, anything, but the non-verbal response works just as well.

Coherent though is abandoned to the four winds the moment Clark's mouth meets hers, hips twisting upward to increase the pace even further.

Her free hand, the one that's not locked with Clark's, slides up to tangle in his hair.

Clark, if he could, would tell her she's already doing enough - she's here, she still wants him, to be with him. She waited for him.

He doesn't have any trouble keeping up with her again, his hips meeting hers with equal force, the kiss becoming more passionate.

Every whimper, every roll of her hips, every caress of her fingers add up to one thing; how much she loves this man. It doesnt matter anymore that she had to wait for him to outgrow Lana, or make the decision to find out more about his people, or undergo the training that forged him into the man he is now.

Her Clark is still there, the young man who once made a drink for her, and later stole her heart. It is with this thought that Eirene tosses herself into the tornado, and doesnt find herself again until a long time later.

When she is once more shuddering almost violently underneath him, his names, both of them, whispered like a prayer.

Clark isn't far behind her when she climaxes, spilling himself inside her after just a few more deep thrusts into her, hearing his name on her lips. She'll get much the same reaction from him, his face once again buried against her shoulder, whispering her name over and over again before finally collapsing on top of her, breathing heavily against her hair.

And then, very softly, he says something softly that sounds like it could be words, but noting Eirene would be terribly familiar with.

The words wash across her senses like rain, sinking into her conscious slowly at first, but more insistent when Eirene finally begins to emerge from the afterglow of what they just did.

Its a few minutes before she even remembers how to speak. "What're you saying?" Her voice sounds somewhat slurred.

"I love you," he repeats a little more coherently before propping himself on an elbow beside her so she doesn't get entirely squished. Of course, it wouldn't have sounded like that to Eirene.

"Just that. I love you."

She's ... she's going to just stare up at him for a long time, trying to wrap her head around that. Eirene knows, deep down, that he does love her, that he has for a while. But hearing it offered so freely....

It floors her completely.

"I love you too, Clark Kent." She lifts a hand to his lips about four seconds before the tears start.

He whispers it again in that other language, before he succumbs to the kiss, slipping an arm under and around her, tugging her close to his chest. His other hand roams along her body, fingers flexing along her back and gently caressing her thigh drawing it up over his.

Eirene has no problem with the change of position, and simply adjusts until she's comfortably flush against him, with her leg thrown across his. In between kisses, her fingers slide along his torso, and then his throat, before drifting across the portions of his face she can easily reach.

Might be worth noting that her hands are still shaking.

He captures one of her hands in his, keeping it pressed to his lips and placing a light kiss on each fingertip. "Thank you," he says afterward, softly.

"You're welcome," she manages after a sharp intake of breath with every kiss. "For what?"

"For being here," he explains, massaging her fingers gently with his own. "For being you."

"Um, okay." By the look on her face, it's probably safe to assume that he's gone and confused her again. "You're welcome, again. I think."

He grins at her, even chuckles softly at the confusion written on her face.

"I'm just glad you're here," he clarifies, squeezing her a little tighter.

Oh, she can handle being wanted. To the point of wriggling closer and nuzzling the underside of his chin.

"I'm glad you're back."

"Me too," he agrees, kissing her forehead. "I really missed you."

Beat.

"I'd say I missed this, too but we never exactly had this before, did we."

"Not ... not when you were yourself, no."

She's blushing all over now, caught between reveling in the fact Clark just made love to her and ... being embarassed that she's not exactly built like a Titan.

"This was better." And there's a kiss to her mouth here to make that final.

She'd like to reply, coherently, but her brain just shorted out. As evidenced by the soft moan and the very subtle shifting of her hips.

To get more comfortable. Really.

He lets her hand go and returns his hand to ghosting around her thigh, then squeezing gently to pull her closer as his tongue slides against hers, slowly exploring her mouth once more.

Can she get any closer? It's debatable, really, because she's hip-to-hip with him, oh dear Zeus he feels even better then he did ten minutes ago.

Eirene will, of course, return the favor when Clark is done exploring. Only it'll be with her hands, possibly trying to nudge him onto his back.

There won't be any objections to that and Clark willingly settles back against the mattress, staring up at her now with eyes that are rapidly starting to go hazy again.

Like Clark did earlier, Eirene sits on his thighs for several minutes, just looking at him; his face, his shoulders, his arms. Eventually, she leans forward and presses her mouth to his forehead.

And then his lips.

And then his jaw.

And then down his throat.
