Clark's had experience with lightning and so he steps back, arms going up defensively from the blast.

Then everything's quiet. And dark.

And then it's not so quiet.

"Eirene?" the thing about super senses is that not only can he hear her, but he can see better in the dark. He thinks. So finding her isn't a problem.

She's warm.

One more time, but much more softly, "Eirene?"
