It's sometime mid-morning when Eirene regains consciousness, staring blearily up at the ceiling and idly wondering what the heavy thing on top of her is for the three or four seconds until her brain starts clearing away the cobwebs and reveals that the object is, in fact, boyfriend-shaped. Which leads to lots and lots of blushing, and a soft, happy sigh at what they did the night before.

Hopefully not loud enough to wake him, seeing as how Clark appears to be still asleep.

Clark just looks at Ares like he's crazy. "Of course I would." It's possible that Clark might have said that just to piss Ares off, but it also happens to be the truth. SO he's okay with that.

Eirene gets a small smile. "No, I just want some juice. I don't want to interrupt whatever you're discussing."

By the flaring of the war-god's nostrils, Clark's possible intentions work. "Fine. Five o'clock, the stadium. See you there." His sister's lips twitch just once, because Ares sounds like a petulant five year old, but she nods solemnly. "Of course."

There a nod, a very awkward hug between the siblings, and sooner rather than later, she's left alone with Clark.

"I-- you weren't. I'm sorry for his rude behavior."

"Don't worry about it," he replies, kissing her cheek. "I've had worse. I'm just glad he cooperated."

[eirenikos]

She snuggles against him, "He has to, or he'll lose Mom's alliance." Which is when the hastily-tied belt undoes itself, revealing his shirt.

"Well, that means he'll behave himself, right?" And if he doesn't, then Clark might just have to intervene.

"So that's where my shirt went."

[eirenikos]

"That's why he's only tried to kill me once." Pause. "What shir-- oh." She's looked down. "Sorry, do you want it back?" Eirene could take it off right now and give it to him, as evidenced when finger slide up to undo the first button.

He glances down at her, initially to frown at her first comment and then an eyebrow is raised. "I don't think we're ever going to get out of here if you do that."

[eirenikos]

"Why not? All I have to do is give this to you, then run upstairs and get dressed." There really are days where she's that oblivious. Of course, that could spin on a dime if she felt someone in trouble.

Clark grins at her, and then leans down to kiss her briefly. "I don't think you'd make it to the stairs."

[eirenikos]

"Oh." Oh. Cue blushing. "Remind me never to suggest a nude beach then." Pause. "Is there anywhere you'd like go today? Aside from here."

[hero_farmboy]

"That's probably a good idea." He wouldn't be comfortable on one, anyway.

"Maybe a walk along the beach? We should take it easy, given everything you have to do later on."

[eirenikos]

Cue less blushing, more beaming!

"Really?"

[hero_farmboy]

"Yeah, really." Is that wrong?

[eirenikos]

Definitely not. Eirene's just not used to the modern dating scene. "I'll go get changed, and then we can get breakfast."

There might a plaid shirt tossed down from the top of the stairs shortly.

Neither is Clark, frankly.

"Okay," he calls after her and watches the shirt sail down to the floor with a shake of his head before heading off to occupy himself with Mel while Eirene gets ready.

Surprisingly, it takes a little longer than Eirene expected, and she bounds downstairs about twenty minutes later, with half the closet still strewn across her bed. Clark's, by the way, is now whole again (though she might have taken a few pictures for posterity).

One wouldn't think a pair of tight shorts and a tank top would be so hard to choose. "Ready?"

"Ready," he calls from the kitchen, where he's been packing a small picnic basket. Blanket, sandwiches and salads. Nothing fancy, but it'll be nice to eat down on the beach.

[eirenikos]

Wow. "You really are a boyscout," she teases, scooping up Mel's leash from the mantle on her way to give Clark a kiss. "Consider me impressed."

[hero_farmboy]

"Prepared and everything," he agrees, leaning down to make said kiss easier. "But it's jut basic stuff. Nothing special."

[eirenikos]

"Is too." She beams up at him, possibly even reaching up to brush her fingers along his jawline before continuing on to the back door and whistling for Mel to come so she can put the leash on the overgrown puppy.

Clark grins, grabs the basket and a folded up towel and follows suit.

Once Mel is ready, Eirene straightens up and takes a deep breath of air. "Okay, you two, let's go find a nice deserted beach to horse around on."

Only take a few minutes to locate one by otherworldly means, which is also how they get there, somewhere between her house and Athens, provided Clark doesn't freak.

He won't. He's about used to it by now.

"Nice choice," he observes taking her hand and letting Mel roam free.

[eirenikos]

"Thanks." Mel's leash is removed before the dog is allowed to sniff around so she doesn't get caught on something, and then Eirene is happy to lace fingers with Clark. Aside from being with him, this is where she's happiest - near the ocean with salty air stinging her nostrils.

"This is so beautiful." And it is.

"It's definitely not something I can see at home. Or even that time I got dragged to Florida," he remarks, starting to swing their hands gently between them. "It's incredible."
