I have no willpower when it comes to these, apparently.

Is it okay if you kiss people when you're single?
Yes. If you mean single as in 'not in a relationship'.

Do you think you can love someone without trusting them?
Yes.

What were you doing at 8:00 this morning?
Painting my toenails.

How's your heart lately?
Same as always.

Has someone ever made you a Build-A-Bear?
I have no idea what those are, so no.

Do you think you can last in a relationship for 6 months?
Yes. I was in a relationship for 15 years.

How late did you stay up last night and why?
After midnight. Couldn't sleep because of nightmares.

Are looks important?
Unfortunately yes.

Do you believe in love?
Yes.

Do you want to get married ever?
Yes, I would.

Are you happy with yourself?
Usually, unless I've let down a lot of people.

Do you still have feelings for your recent ex?
I still love him.

Would you take him back?
No.

How about just for a night?
No.

Who was the last person you took a picture with?
A tourist from Sweden during the Olympics.

Who was the last person you took a picture of?
I don't remember, it's been a long time.

How has this past week been for you?
Odd. I don't deal well with being lazy.

Is there something you wish you could tell someone but you can't?
Yes.

Are there any previous relationships you wish could have lasted longer?
No.

Would you rather help someone out or be helped out?
I'd rather help someone.

If you found out you couldn't have kids, would you adopt?
Yes, I would.

What woke you up this morning?
Mel chewing my hair.

Has anyone ever called you baby, with meaning?
Yes, once.

Do you like it?
It made me feel wanted.

What nicknames do you like best?
Don't have any casual nicknames.

Yes. I was in a relationship for 15 years.

Were you really?

I was. He was a Russian writer named Leo Tolstoy, and I ... was his mistress for 15 years. Which is what happens when you get shot by one of your nephew's arrows on accident.

*eyes widen*

You were Tolstoy's mistress?!

It wasn't my fault! You try negating the effects of Eros and his arrows.

Yes?

Please don't hold it against me. Leo was a great man until he changed, and even then he was still trying to understand the world around him.

Eirene, I wouldn't hold it against you. If anything, I'm impressed and...intrigued.

There's very little to be impressed about, really. He named his most famous work for me, but I had little to do with the creation of it. Mainly I just acted as a type of living sanctuary and sounding board. Then he married, had children and led a full life.

War and Peace?

How/why did it end? If you don't mind my asking.

Yes. It's not really about war and peace, but the human condition and how bloody wonderful you guys are during conflict and, for lack of a better word, peaceful times.

He decided it was time to get married. We corresponded for a few years afterwards, but Leo was faithful to his wife. I was pretty devastated when we parted. He was determined to be a good family man, though, and you can't have a mistress on the side.

I haven't ... you're the first person I've really talked about this with in decades.

Oh, sweetheart, I'm sorry. That sounds like it was incredibly hard.

...does Clark know?

It's not your fault, so don't apologies. I'll be happy to accept any sympathy this time around though. And, yeah, it was. But that's life, not even goddess are immune to it. :)

He knows that his name was Leo, and that he was a writer, but we haven't really discussed it in detail. I'm not sure he wants to.

Well, you do have my sympathy, certainly. You consistently give me new reasons to prove what an incredible woman you are, Eirene.

No. He gets that from his father.

what an incredible woman you are

Would you believe me if I insisted I was your average run-of-the-mill deity?

No. He gets that from his father.

Yeah, I noticed how many traits he's picked up from Mr Kent when I was there last. Clark is a bit more open-minded, though. No offense, I think your husband is great.

I would not believe that for a second.

None taken. My husband is very old-fashioned and quick to judge, wonderful though he is. Clark gets his open-mindedness from me, I suspect.

Shoot.

Clark gets his open-mindedness from me, I suspect.

Clark considers you the most important person in his life, quite rightfully, so I wouldn't be surprised to find he gets all his best traits from you.

*smiles warmly* Does he?

That's very gratifying for a parent to hear. He's certainly the most important person in mine.

Yes. Never, ever doubt it.
