[personal profile] dovelike
Name:
Thallo Eirene (Pax)

Titles:
Goddess of Peace, Spring Incarnate, Green Shoots, Plant-raiser, Bringer of Flowers, Blooming Peace and Protector of Youth

Appearance:
Her primary form stands 5'3" tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She looks to be in her late teens or early twenties. Eirene will sometimes assume the shape of a white dove or a blonde female child, though it is her prerogative to choose whatever form is most pleasing to Her.

Personality:
Eirene's sphere of influence relates to the concept of Peace. She does not wear armor or a weapon, and considers herself to be a pacifist (not that this would preclude a loud argument if she was firmly convinced she was right). In fact, most of the time, her mere presence could be considered calming. Playing with children and talking to strangers are two of her favorite pastimes, especially if she can manage both from inside zones fraught with the stench of Ares and his war-mongering disciples.

Abilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following - limited healing, complete plant control, aura of peace, telepathy, telekinesis, gift of prosperity, creating money, breath of spring, empathy, flight, and shapeshifting.

About:
Eirene is a goddess, not that it will be apparent at first meeting, unless she desires to make a point or others are talented at spotting her kind. Physically, she resembles a great many other beauties of time, with pale hair and eyes, but where many deities wear their arrogance as a mantle, her shoulders are most often cloaked in humility. Peace is her domain; including the protection of children and the distribution of prosperity in, for lack of a better term, times of peace.

She enjoys watching mortals, so much that she spends much of her time away from Olympus, traveling dusty roads with other wanderers and exploring the cities that humans have created with the sweat of their brows and incomparable imagination. She admires them, you see, for no matter the tragedy, they stagger to their feet and try again.

Admiration can be a two-way street, she supposes, for mortals continue to praise her very existence, almost daily. Well, perhaps praise isn’t exactly the right word. Ares’ influence is seen daily on the little box called television, with wars and lesser conflicts popping up every few days, sometimes within hours of each other. But every warmonger has an opposite – the voices calling for peace and understanding. It’s insidious, this capacity for such extreme hatred that the youthful Goddess seems compelled to leave her lofty home so often that her room at the top of the holy mountain stands neglected more often that not.

And yet, it is only by walking side by side with mortal (and immortal) that Eirene’s own influence can be felt. Her very presence is said to calm the most ferocious of tempers, whether it be man or beast. In addition, she can bestow a promise of future prosperity on those that honor her stance of non-aggression seriously. Land and people prosper most where there is no bloody conflict. This, of course, lends itself easily to the final office she holds – the protection of children. Despite granting her presence to solemn occasions (like the signing of peace treaties), one of Eirene’s favorite pastimes is donning the small shape of a child and engaging in play with her wards, though always with an eye tuned for those who would seek to hurt the most defenseless members of humanity.

Perhaps a final note of caution? Eirene is the offspring of two gods, and most of the time she displays the quiet nature and even temper of her mother, Themis. But let us not forget that her father is the Thunderer himself, and it is quite possible for pretty little Pax to lose her own temper and perhaps have difficulty finding it again. No one is perfect, not even Gods.
